the Abia state owned Schools of Nursing and Midwifery was merged to become Abia State College of Nursing Sciences (ABSCONS). ABSCONS has multiple campuses which are Amachara campus, Umuahia campus, Aba campus and Abiriba campus. The administrative office of the college is currently located in Amachara.
